Ruth Pelzer Montada

Dr Ruth Pelzer-Montada is an artist and lecturer in Contemporary Art and Visual Culture at Edinburgh College of Art, The University of Edinburgh. She has curated and participated in exhibitions in Scotland and abroad and her texts on printmaking and contemporary art have appeared in national and international publications, such as Art JournalPrint QuarterlyArt in Print, conference proceedings and exhibition catalogues. Her anthologyPerspectives on contemporary printmaking – critical writing since 1986 was published in 2018. Ruth’s main research interests lie in developing the discourse of printmaking and contributing to the visibility of print in contemporary art.
In 2015 she was one of the speakers at the symposium Printmaking in the Expanded Fieldat Oslo National Academy of Fine Arts.
